She finds inspiration in the silliest situations, and gets
herself into the funniest messes as seen by millions
on her online and cable TV show “I love Kerri”. “I know
that if I find these situations hysterical others will too",
says Kerri. "Everything in our lives seems to end up
in the act. We get great material from our parents, (her
mom is from the South and Ron's parents are Korean
and Irish), and when you put those groups in a room,
it's just hysterical”. Kerri Pomarolli, a comedic actress
and rising star in the clean comedy circuit, did not
start out in comedy the conventional way. At 22, Kerri
moved to L.A. to pursue an acting career. But after
some time she found herself increasingly dissatisfied
with the L.A. party scene, her choices in men (one of
her so-called “suitors” became an all out stalker) and
even what appeared to be professional success, with
recurring TV roles on Port Charles, The Young and
the Restless and General Hospital. But it was the
realization of God's love that drew her back to her faith
(Kerri became a Christian at age 5), and ultimately
to her purpose of reaching audiences through stand-up
comedy. Since then she's become an author, a speaker
and a regular on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central
and a host of other TV shows.

A self - described type “A” workaholic, Kerri says
that the most challenging part of being in the business
is the uncertainty of it all. “I did not take the stable
career path with the house and the white picket fence
and the pay check on Friday, which can get pretty
scary at times, but I guess that's were faith comes in.
Sometimes, because of our busy schedules, we don't
know where we are going from one day to the next.
One day we are in Alaska the next day we are in
Ontario, and the next day we are in Hollywood, which
can be unnerving if you don't get your faith pretty
strong. But despite the challenges the rewards are
outstanding”. Performing in comedy clubs and a host
of other venues, brings Pomarolli face to face with
people from all walks of life and the opportunity to
make a significant difference in the lives of individuals
who may not necessarily step into a church building.
“Recently, I had the opportunity to pray with a woman
in the audience who happened to be a drug dealer.
At the end of the show I prayed with her and she
accepted Christ as her savior, and I 'll tell you, there's
no greater reward – clap all you want, but at the end
of the day that's what it's all about. That's truly why
I do it”. Continues page 2
