When I was 18 I was introduced to the awesome news that God
loved me and had a plan for my life. When I gave my life to Jesus
Christ I felt truly loved for the very first time in my life. He changed
me from the inside out, gave me a destiny, gave me a love for His
Word, and has guided me into who I am today. That’s what He
desires to do for everyone.

LINGK: When did your gift as an effective communicator
become evident?
As God poured His word into me, He began giving me a message
of hope and healing for others, a message I was compelled to
communicate any-where I was able. God assured me that if I would
open my mouth, he would fill it, and lives would be transformed.
But if I kept my mouth closed and didn’t share the hope of God’s
transforming power, people would be lost and I would be responsible
for them. As I began to share that message, God was faithful to
expand His wisdom, power, and anointing. Whatever ability I have
as a communicator is tied directly to God’s word and His power in me.

LINGK: Is there a difference between a life coach and a pastor?
As a pastor, I speak into the lives of my congregation on a regular basis. As a life coach I can get outside
the walls of the church and share the same message of hope and renewal in both faith-based and secular
settings. The core message often is the same, but the audience can be far different.

LINGK: What are some of the goals and objectives you hope to achieve as a life coach?
My goal as a life coach is to mentor and encourage individuals to be all that God has created them to be.
It really is to show them how they can overcome the obstacles and issues of life and not be held back.
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has plans for each of us, to prosper us and to give us a dynamic future.
My ultimate goal as a life coach –and as a pastor – is to focus the hearts and minds of those I influence
on that eternal promise.

LINGK: As a pastor, evangelist, author, philanthropist, and life coach, how do you balance the demands of family, ministry, and business?
We live in a busy world today, with so many different things vying for our attention. We all have to learn
how to prioritize, and for me that means putting
my time with God first everyday, my family
second, and then the needs of church and
ministry. I have always found God to be faithful
as I have kept those priorities straight.

LINGK: You do so much to reach the poor
and needy locally and globally. In what
ways can our readers contribute to the
work of ministry?
Ministry isn’t meant to be complicated. It
really all begins and ends with relationship --
to God first of all, then to our families, to the
local church, and finally to other ministries and
opportunities. God desires that we minister
our love and intimacy to Him first and foremost.
Out of that intimacy with God comes the
strength we need to reach out and meet
the various needs of our family, to be vital
members of a local church body, and to reach
out to the needs of those around us.

LINGK: What are some of the upcoming
projects planned for 2007 and 2008, and
could you sharesome of your goals
and aspirations for the future?
Our goal and focus will continue to be reaching
out to the lost and hurting— transforming lives,
healing hearts, and winning souls. God is
opening up somany doors of opportunity to us
